Enterprise Global Trade Logistics ERP Link® (GEL) is a complete Global Trade Solution to run your business
The enormous impact and growth in international trade over the last several years has presented compelling opportunities for businesses seeking increased sales from exports, reduced costs from imports among countries of the world, and overall operating efficiencies. |
| Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions have matured to the point of addressing many, but not all, of today's requirements for managing business on a global basis. These systems have focused on filling their own gaps - maturing from systems with functionality for region - or division-based processing to those that manage broader needs and support multiple entity environments. ERP solutions do not address today’s entire requirement for global management in a integrated fashion. |
| Yet with all the hundreds of man-years of development and enhancements that the leading ERP, SCM and TMS systems have undergone, where are the global trade compliance capabilities and international constraints? |
| |
| It is not just a competitive advantage issue. Without proper management of key international functions, not only is there financial and operational impact, but there is also the lack of compliance with could drastically alter one's business. |

Minimize potential fines, sanctions and penalties due to improper classification. Support multiple countries HTS codes. Automatic data validation includes HTS, EEC and country of origin. Maintain a complete audit trail and history and comply with legal regulations. |
Determining country duty rates:
While understanding the Harmonized System (HS) is important, an equally important factor is determining the duty rates for individual countries. Duty rates and the further-detailed line items within the classification groupings are found in each country's customs tariff schedules. Country tariff schedules, however, are published in the native language(s) of each country, making the schedules difficult to read and understand. Furthermore, classification can require country-specific knowledge because the last digits of a complete HS code can vary from one country to the next. |
| Customs duties can make or break your product's worldwide sales success. For example, if you ship a product that is made of components from several countries and your product is being distributed and sold in yet another group of countries, then correctly assessing your customs duty and tax liability can be a real challenge. |
